Nov. 21 - Week 8 full of miracles and blessings!

Nov. 21, 2016 - Week 8 in Lima, Bolognesi area

Well yes..thank you for reminding me that I have a very sad number 7 now. I love the mission so much everytime I have one month more it is just sad jaja. But yesss 7 months I have been here in the mission and it is the best! These have been the best, hardest 7 months of my life and I wouldnt change anything!! The mission is the best privilege that I have ever been given. I have the best boss in the world and I strive my best every day to magnify this calling that I have as well!!

This week has been full of miracles and blessings! We were blessed to find a new investigator who has been prepared from the Lord. His name is Jonathan and he is doing very well. He is humble, and he is ready to enter into a covenant with the Lord. We were blessed to be able to find him. The Lord has been so good to us here in Bolognesi. Has it been hard? Yes. But what is life without a challenge? Sometimes I think that the Lord tries us to see if we will be obedient and then He gives us the gold. Jonathan is the gold. And I know that it is because we have fought Satan to be obedient here. I know that the Lord gives us trials that together with Jesus Christ, we can always overcome. Can we overcome challenges alone? Maybe..but it is going to take a lot longer than if we would just trust in the Lord.

Something that I really enjoyed from this week is a quote that my companion Hermana OƱate told me. She said that "we have walked more than the family of Lehi in the desert" here in Bolognesi. (Story of Lehi is in the Book of Mormon) I was laughing so hard but it is true. It has been a week of walking but the Lord has blessed us with those who are ready and prepared to hear the gospel. So for that I will continue walking and giving my 100 percent. I can´t give any less. 100 is what the Lord requires and I will always try my hardest to be 100 percent obedient and submissive. And I will keep working on developing the Christlike attributes of patience and humility and charity. I think that these 3 are lifetime goals because we will never be as humble, as obedient, and as loving as Christ. But I will die trying!

The mission is the best time of my life and I am beyond blessed by the Lord to be here. I am humbled to be called His servant. I love my Savior and I know that He lives. I will testify of Him until the day I die. I love you so much!! I love you to the moon and beyond!! Love, your little girl, Hermana Lawrence

Nov. 15 - Week 7 in Lima, Bolognesi - TRANSFERS!

Nov. 15, 2016 - Week 7 in Lima, Bolognesi - Transfers!

I didn’t write yesterday because we had TRANSFERS!! Can you believe I was with Hna Couper 6 weeks? It felt so short! But I have THE BEST COMPANION EVER. Her name is Hna OƱate and she is from Ecuador! She is so sweet and works so hard and is OBEDIENT. HALELUYA. Is that how you spell that? hahah I dont think so but you got it haha. She is the best honestly I am so blessed. But sad at the same time because I think that this transfer Hna Couper will go home if she doesnt get her testimony. I hope she finds the need for it.

But I am still alive and doing well! But mom. Today is the 15th of Noviembre. It is so crazy that the time has passed so fast. I have 7 months this week!?! Does it feel like I have been away 7 months?? I feel like I have been here for maybe a month? It is horrible. I love the mission more than I love my life honestly. I love the people, I love the food(; , I love my companion, and more than anything I have come to love my Savior more than anything else in this world. The mission is beautiful. I have felt a huge change in my life, my attitude, and I know that I am now working for my salvation. Everyone should serve a mission. Everyone. It is essencial. I love you to the moon and back momma and this week I started to write in my journal again so I will be sending more next week with feelings and everything. I love you to the moon and back and then on to Eternity momma!! Love you so much!!

Nov. 7, 2016 - Family from Ica gets Baptized! Hooray!

Nov. 7, 2016               Week 6 in Lima, Bolognesi Area

I never have time to write a full email about what all is happening here in Peru but I am still alive and am still doing well! I am in Lima now and we are working really hard! But I had the best news this week and it is that our investigators in Ica were baptized! We contacted Monica, the mom, in the street and she wasn’t really interested. But then we visited her and her family and it turns out that she is married to Julio and they have 5 children. 5 girls. 3 of them do not live there though. So we taught Monica and Julio and their daughters Valeri and Antonela. They were really interested and immediately accepted their baptismal date. They were the best and we visited them really often! And then I got transferred to Lima but my companion from Ica, Hermana Mostert, told me that they are still doing well and are going to get baptized! Then today I received this beautiful foto that shows that they did it! They got baptized!! I cried I was so happy for them! It doesn’t matter that I am not there to share that happy moment with them, they now are working towards their salvation! Look at how happy they are!! Much love from Lima!!

jajaja oh mami.Tenga paciencia porque *al que cree, todo le es posible* Te amo mami! Ask dad what it means because it makes more sense in my head in spanish. Love you mami(:

Hermana Shylo Lawrence
mami, saddest news of the day...I found out that my companion Sister Richardson from the CCM returned to her house early. It broke my heart this morning I hope that everything is okay. Do you want to stalk her for me on Facebook? Her name is Makenna Richardson and she is from Idaho. I hope that she is okay.

I love the pictures!! Everyone looks like they are doing so well! Sabe que?? I was talking to my companion and was telling her about grandpas waffles and that is sooo rude that you even sent me that pictures. Really? Do you know what I am eating here?? Obviously not or you wouldnt tempt me with those horrible pictures(: Goodness I love you mami!!

Hey mami(: What a hardddddd week it has been here in the mission. The numbers were low and to be honest so were the animos. I cant remember what that is in english so you can ask dad. We have had a whole bunch happen this week! To start...my companion has been in a bit of a rough patch this week. I decided that I needed to call the health secretary to tell him everything that has been going on with her. Because honestly she really hasnt been here mentally. She had one day where she litterally did not want to work and I did everything. So I called him and she talked to him and then we called Hna McGinn to help her a little more. It was good and now we will be talking with the psycologist Elder Raeside. he is the best!! But yeah so that was probably the most interesting that has happened this week! So we will see how that goes because she will be calling today. I hope that everything goes well and that he can help her!

I wrote in my journal a little bit this week so I will send you a couple days to catch you up and the family up on what all has been happening here in Lima! I love you so much mami and hope that all is well!! I loved all the pictures!!! Love you to the moon and beyond!!! Love, your little girl, Hermana Lawrence
